No he was worried when they fused In ROSAT as base saiyans, he was worried that they didnt fuse as SSJ's.

He would have to be. If Super Saiyan Gotenks is "far above" Super Saiyan 3 Goku, base Gotenks would be above Super Saiyan 2 Goku. And Goku is the strongest Super Saiyan 2, so there you are.

I know this may sound crazy, but I believe base Gotenks is more powerful then the SSJ3 Goku that fought Majin Buu. For Piccolo to react the way he did when they weren't starting out in SSJ form, tell's me Gotenks new power was probably equal to their SSJ power before the training, which Goku stated was going to be stronger then himself.

That's only because he doesn't know they can power up to SSJ while fused, so he was concerned.

He was concerned about their power in base, but was astonished once they formed. That tell's me Gotenks had to have at least make a good enough gain to rival his SSJ power, or be close enough to it.

Or he was just astonished that they got so much stronger in rosat in the period of a week. I'd be impressed too, even if they got 20% stronger.

Putting them around their SSJ pre-rosat self means they got a 2x increase at least, which I can't (and will never) accept.

Why not? Increasing their power really at all in just a week is already pretty absurd. Not that simply joining bodies making these two so powerful in the first place isn't.

If you're going to swallow all that, you may as well go all the way.
