I took some Critical Thinking and Logic Application classes during my first year of university to fill out some spaces on my timetable. Hence I know the tricks he's pulling and how to counter them.

And gotta ask, cause I'm curious, why can you not rep currently?

Anyway, I'd love to take similar classes once I get off of my ass and get back in school.

I think that the theory about not being able to see after the light speed border is very good explanation. But one thing doesn't stop bothering me.

Akira Toriyama himself said that Goku reached light speed in his SSJ form on Namek. After this point when a warrior goes all out the fight looks somewhat different. Both opponents repeatedly charge with a single punch then stop. It looks like repeating the single sequence: track the opponent in the air, charge, punch (or kick) and once again track the opponent. Sometimes the routine is broken and they start to attack very fast but only withg their arms and legs (their head and torso remains steady).

So maybe (HUGE maybe) they can speed up near or above the speed of light in one single heartbeat (of course it's faster) only after they track the opponent. They don't need a clear sight to do that. After the clash they separate and eventually repeat(slowing down and once again accelerating).

But this is the one and only moment in a fight when I could think that surpassing the speed of light could be useful ( because of the inability to see).

Also we don't know how ki sensing works. I'm not stating this as a fact but Ki could theoretically be a form of energy that travels faster than light. Being able to feel Ki would mean that a warrior could sense everything and fight faster as he improves even beyond the speed of light.

If it's one of those old "Super Otaku Magazine" interviews, it's definitely, 100% fake. Toriyama never talks about shit like that in his interviews anyway. He talks about designing characters for video games and how Namekians are hermaphrodites (I'm not making this up).

How can Marvel characters control themselves if they go the speed of light. Likewise, how can other characters see characters going the speed of light, and how can they even have fights?

I don't see why it's acceptable for these characters to go the speed of light, but for DBZ characters to not.

It's a preteen Manga and Anime. Please deter yourselves from posturing on who's right or wrong about something that Toriyama-sensei probably never poured over with an exchange of vulgar insults or you're inviting moderation. Trolling or anything of the such is not acceptable on any account and is grounds for moderation. You don't have to go into a rage or dejection over the matter (even if depression allows one to re-validate things in more quiet contemplation).

Though, I do openly concede that matters of this sort range in interpretation (especially in the context of the dialogue structure) faster than the speed of light may be stretching it a bit...
