Sorry dude, but that "one aspect" pretty much sums up everything.

Another aspect is the fact that Karin and Kami's Palaces are so high up in the sky that you could get altitude sickness by just ascending there and or decending. The air would be so thin that you'd need an extra oxygen supply or else you'd pass out. It would be really cold up there too.

When the character's launch a ki wave, there is the highly likely possibility that their hands and/or arms would explode from the shockwave. the shockwave would probably be so great that the character would be thrown backward from their own blast, even if they were grounded.

I simply cannot accept travelling faster than lightspeed due to the simple fact that you'd no longer be able to see where you're going at all. If you're going faster than light you're hitting stuff before you even know it's there.

We can see from the panels of him flying that he's not crashing into stuff, and so he's not travelling at beyond light speed, in my opinion.

Plus, anyone not going light speed wouldn't be able to see the characters moving a light speed.

And yes, I totally agree with you there Chibi and Vagrant.

One could make an arguement saying that the characters would sense the Ki rather than relying on their eyes, but that would mean that Ki is also faster than light, which isn't possible.

If a really fast person is running and looks ahead of them, they can see what is coming up. Even Nascar racers have good reaction time and insight while travelling hundreds of miles per hour. They're bodies become stronger and adapt to the high speeds at which they travel (including their eyes). When Goku finished his 100g's and turned the machine off, he tossed a rock as hard as he could and then raced after it, completely shocked at how fast he could move.

He [Gotenks] was outside the Earth for some of the times he flew around it, meaning he wouldn't even be in the atmosphere. True, meteors brun up when they are going thousands of miles per hour entering the atmosphere, but you don't see space-ships burning up, do you...? And the escape velocity of the Earth is beyond the speed of sound (21,000 mph).

Anyway, if you guys can't accept them being at the speed of light simply because it's "not realistic", than Dragonball=No R 4 U

I don't question the good reflexes, but the simple fact of the matter is that NASCAR drivers cannot outrun light itself. At that speed you shouldn't be able to see because you're actually passing by objects before the light bouncing off them hits you.

Tha'ts actually not a very good counter-arguement.

Piccolo and Gohan were in the millions and could not even see the Death Beam coming. When Vegeta got his zenkai, he could not only track the beam's path but could dodge it as well--simply BECAUSE he was stronger. He also mentioned to Cui/Kiwi that his speed went along with his power. Freeza further emphasized this by outrunning Piccolo when he thought he had a speed advantage. Even in the Boo saga Toriyama does not forget this principle when he demonstrates Boo is much faster than Gohan--who, like Piccolo, imagined he could escape with his supposed speed advantage.

My point is, their eyes, reflexes, and bodies will get used to the new speed they have achieved. Undoubtedly, they were moving beyond the speed of sound during the Budokai days (Catching bullets, jumping thousands of feet into the air which would require being thousands of mph) so just imagine how much faster they are now. Moving at or higher than the speed of light does not change this power/speed correlation in Dragonball and you can't really argue against it.

I don't see what you're not getting here. More powerful things are faster, as evidenced by Freeza's Freeza Beam, but once you break the speed of light you cannot see anything as you are moving faster than the light.

Lets go back to basics. Do you know how we see things? We don't see them per se, we see the light bouncing off them. If you're moving faster than the light, than you can't see it. You're gonna reach the object before the light, so you don't have anything to "illuminate" the way ahead.
