OBVIOUS PLOT-DEVICE.

Goku needed to fuse with someone and all he had was Hercule and Dende. Vegeta miraculously comes back to life. Then, just to treat the fans, Goku and his rival have an emotional arguement about how he "lied" and the importance of setting aside their differences. And then...the ultimate fan-service: they fuse into one person. If Toriyama let Boo just zip right over there they'd be dead because Boo knew how powerful the fusion would be from his own experience (Gotenks). That's why he took the precaution and knocked out Tenshinhan.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter because Gotenks circles the Earth a couple dozen times (or, according to you, an "unkown number of times") and it was obviously within the range of a few seconds. If you can judge the panels according to time, why can't I...?

Speed=Distance/Time

Snake Way: 1,000,000 km's
Time: 3 hours (On his way back)

1,000,000/3=333,333 kmph <--Goku's speed with a power-level over 8,000.

Now correct me if I am wrong, but didnt that assitance demon guy say something to the effect of "It is rumoured to be a million km long" rather than "it's exactly 1 million km long"

Also, Goku ran "one million kilometers" in a few months(cant remember exact) at PL 416, how many thousands of years would it take for a PL:5 human to run that?

It being 1 million kilometers was written for a reason you know.

Goku at 416...it was calculated before to be like 5.5 km/per second (according to Dark Prince). A human with 5...I don't know. The fasted human runs like 9 mph. Convert that to kilometers and divide 1 million by however much 9 mph is in km.

He was really pushing it to get, and he was using his full power and speed to get there. He needed a senzu to refresh his power.

But he was skipping large parts of Snake Way.

And Goku still ran much of the way. He was trying to be more fuel-efficient. It was indeed 1,000,000 km in 3 hours which means 333,333 kmph.

Didn't we work out Roshi's speed to be like 17 meters per second?

--------------(100/5.6)----------=17.85
Distance Traveled/Seconds taken =Roshi's running speed

Then compare that to Goku at 416 going 5.5 meters per second, when he should be able to run at 53 meters per second?

Sorry ANB, but no scans I've seen show Goku running most of the way. Pretty much all of them show him flying, or leaping over large segments of it.
