So even if you dismiss Roshi's antics as being a "gag" you cannot deny Radditz moving thousands of miles per second. They would reach the speed of light and to deny it is going against facts both in the manga and scientifically.

All of those sources fail. They detail either rifles or large caliber handguns. We're talking a small pistol. A SMG fires small calibre pistol bullets, and it doesn't fire them as fast as a rifle, or a .44.

A difference of 1.09x is enough to give a significant speed advantage. Anyone 1.09x stronger than Radditz would move 1,090 mph. Anyone with a power-level of 1,485 could fly at speeds of 1,188.1 mph and so on.

A machine gun doesn't fire faster bullets than a rifle. In fact, a rifle tends to be much more powerful than a machine gun. Do you know anything about guns?

1-Exactumando~. Roshi caught bullets from a gun that was slower than the bullets Radditz caught. Makes sense plot-wise but Toriyama probably forgot that.

And no, I don't know much about guns. Do I need to in order to research unarguable statistics about their speed...?

2-So...? Roshi moves <700 mph. Radditz moves well over 1,000 mph. I rest my case.

And I was never one for those "1.09 times differences" anyway. How many examples are there of it?

1-This much I doubt...

2-If we're going to talk about power-levels then we have to talk "differences". There aren't a lot of examples because Toriyama quit doing them.

-Ginyu estimates that Goku's power-level is 60,000 upon hearing that he bested Recoome and Burter. Their's are between 42,000 and 50,000 which leaves a difference of about 1.2-1.4. Ginyu picking off the number "60,000" shows that even 1.2 is enough to waste an opponent.
-The difference between Radditz and Gohan was 1.08. Radditz was baffled by the speed.
-Yamcha and the Saibamen are 1.17+ IIRC. Yamcha forced the Saibamen into "hyper-speed" and probably had a speed-advantage.

Regardless, Vegeta told Zarbon that he "looked as if he was standing still". Zarbon's exact number us unknown, but he is stronger than Dodoria who would be >/=20,000.

You're right, it's even SMALLER. Ever seen the Zarbon v. Vegeta fight...? Or Goku v. Burter (Both of which have power-levels that we know?).
