Goku Zenkai Beatings In DragonBall

Looking back at the fights in DragonBall, I'm trying to figure out every instance in which Goku should have received a "zenkai". There were some tough fights, but I don't have access to every chapter at the moment.

So far, I figure:

- after the 23rd World Tournament/Piccolo Fight

- after killing King Piccolo

- (maybe) after being beaten by Old King Piccolo (small one)

- after being beaten by Tambourine/after 22nd World Tournament (small one)

- (maybe) after being left for dead by Mercenary Tao (small one)

- after 21st World Tournament (small one)

.....can anybody think of any other instances where Goku was beaten down pretty severely?

Would his heart disease + his beating from #19 count?

I believe that being thrashed by a Cell Junior would be in the list as well, since he wasn't able to stand up.

And... his fight with Vegeta, at the very end.

"Dragonball" as in the entire series or "Dagonball" as in before Raditz's arrival?

21st World Tournament wasn't that bad. I mean, Goku was knocked out and extremely hungry afterward, but he wasn't going to die or anything.

I can't remember anything other then what's listed. I don't even think he received a zenkai in a couple of those, though.

Well you've gotta think that Toriyama wasn't writing with Zenkais in mind at this point, so they can't and really shouldn't be applied.

Krillin mention in DBZ that it was allways zenkais with Goku after every battle.

The only time that really he was in a dead life experience was:

The The time he drunk the sacred water.

The other time could be the first and the last fight with Piccolo, other battles he was beaten, but not dying.

What the hell are you saying about the water? It was just regular water y'know and didn't do anything to Goku.

And we're gonna need proof for that revelation about Krillin please. The first time I think we see that he knows about Zenkais is on Namek when Vegeta tells him to wound him. And Krillin seems suprised by this, so we can assume he didn't know.

He's talking about when Krillin said that Goku was the same way, that he got stronger every time he survived a tough battle. Not that any of that matters.

And the "water thing" is the "real" water that Korin had, that Goku drank before the final battle with Young King Piccolo. It was a poison that would kill you if you had already reached the limits of strength.
