The only character in Freeza's family we see transform is Freeza. I think Freeza's power at birth was so immense that his body couldn't handle it at such a young age and the so the transformations were used to reduce his power and make it controllable.

It isn't something that can be backed up by evidence, but it makes Freeza seem more... unique.

Yeah but I think Cold was born as first form and then grew. About frieza yeah I agree with Madness.

I think all of them were born in their first form and as they grew older their power grew to a certian point.

King Cold is most likely in his second form, and was in a fight sometime before he found Freeza, and just never went back.

Kooler, was also in a fight, with a very strong oppenent, and never went back to his other forms.

Or maybe early on King Cold showed his sons what their transformed states looked like, and they each just picked the form that they prefer.

It's probobly like Freeza wants too hide his true power, and Cooler is like, screw that I will start with my near Full Power.

Then much later

Freeza: I can go above my Final Form and grow huge muscles.
Cooler:O yay, well I have a 5th Form.
Freeza:No, way!
Cold: Now now calm down, my 2nd Form is enough beat you guys.
(Not really but it would atleast be a good fight)

EDIT: Mystic, what he meant by his true form was that it was his form that did not restrict his power at all.
