Just curious, after a saiyan becomes an ape (forgot the spelling of the exact word), how much of their tail has to be cut off before they revert?

There's no given information regarding how much of the tail needs to be cut in order to cause the Oozaru transformation to subside. It could be as little as just a few inches or as much as over half the length of the tail.

There are no facts about that. In my opinion at least half of the tail should be cut.

I'd think you'd need the full tail to acheive a complete transformation...

No one is ever really going to know this unless they are told it by Toriyama but if I had to make a prediction I would say probably over half of it.

I would say about half or more would be enough, to make someone revert back to their normal form.

Did yabjoibe cut Vegeta's tail in half? Also, how far did Kami remove Goku's tail. I would think only a little has to be removed to stop a Saiyan being an Oozaru.

I think King omega is right when yajorobi cut off vegeta's tail it was cut in half

IMO:

I think the Saiyan tail has a certain gland inside that transforms a saiyan into Oozaru. It reacts to the light of the moon (obviously) and is stimulated by pressure (when Goku grabbed Raditz's tail.) which causes parilization.

As long as that gland is cut, the Oozaru will revert. That is my theory...open for any arguments or flaws.

I'm assuming that the entire tail has to be cut off. Last time I knew, the special glands that a Saiyan needed for transformation were located at the base of the tail, so I'm assuming that those glands need to be removed; probably be removing the tail at least from the base.

I wasn't sure where the glands on the tail where when I posted, but I agree. It's probably at the base.
