Not necessarily, the Kaioshin say to the Z warriors that the egg Shell when Buu is seal was hide in the deep of the Ocean in planet Earth when the man was prehistoric or uncivilized (not so sure) and also that Buu could revive with the half of his power, but weaker.But it should happen by the time Trunks is teenager already

Gohan dies trying to save the last of Earth's remaining population, and Piccolo might, he resides with Kami who is the guardian of Earth, who he at that point has made some form of peace with.

I did it to provide discussion, not argument -_-;.
I said that Trunks at one point would have gone to Namek to revive somebody. He then would have found out that Porunga can revive as many people as he wanted to at that point, reviving everybody killed by 17 and 18. Goku and Gohan would have most likely have kept their bodies, trained hardcore, and been some where between SSJ2-SSJ3. Vegeta would have been revived but he couldn't keep his body because he's a selfish prick, probably would've gone jealous, exposed his evil, and still gone Majin Vegeta. The only differences would be that Piccolo, Krillin, and Vegeta would have been a lot weaker. Vegeta would have most likely obeyed Babidi. The other difference would be Trunks, who would probably be around Gohans strength.
