Appearance of Cell
Cell is supposedly made up of the cells or dna of the greatest fighters in the world, so what makes him look like a big ugly insect?

Pikkoro and Furiza's cells corrupted his body making it look even less human than theres'? Or Toriyama just wanted him to look real ugly as the supposed final villian.

I suppose that not everything has to be explained scientifically as it is just a fictional story and many things are just done for effect.

His cells that compose the greatest warriors attacks, movements, etc, are soley for those only. They don't dictate how he looks. Gero made his biological structure to look how he wanted it to look.
