Does Mirai Trunks ever REALLY go SSJ2?

In the video games, Future Trunks has an SSJ2 form, but I don't think that actually happened though. If it did, did it happen when he had his near neath experienced when Cell impaled him with a ki shot? hen does he go SSJ2. Probably not on Imperfect Cell, that would be a major waste. He didn't absorb anything yet. When does this happen(if it does)?

It never happened. Also he didn't get a near-death increase since Seru actually killed him.

It's possible he became a SSJ2 after returning to his own time. Although, from what we see during the Cell Games and his brief attack on the androids once he returned to his time, Trunks doesn't go SSJ2.

Mirai Torunkusu reaching Ssj2 is in the realm of fanfics only I'm afraid.

Well I have to agree with darkprince, trunks never goes to ss2. Even when he goes back to his future he is ss1 and kills those androids easily because he gained a lot of experience fighting on the past.

Fanfics are stories that dedicated DBZ fan boys made up, so technically both of you are making the same point.
