What is it about the Cyborgs, 17 and 18, that give Cell so much power? How do they augment his power so much? I mean, they're just humans turned into Cyborgs. What working mechanism in their being allows them to produce so much strength in Cell?

Probably has something to do with their infinite energy reactors and Seru's own design although its more than likely just a plot device.

Well i say Dr Gero must have hidden the "POWER" given by all of Cell's transformations inside Cell from the beginning, as just adding the androids power level to himself and plus random humans wouldn't give him that much power as it did.
My thoery is that Cell had all the power inside him in his first form, inperfect but could ponly harness and activate it once asborbing both androids 18 and 18. As its pretty stupid to hav the first set of androids 19+20 die, then to have 17 + 18 kill all the z fighters and half the earth, then to have another android asborb them with nothing to do. That was Gero's plan, pretty stupid... Cell said that is was a game, so did Androids 18, and 17 countless times. There all part of a massive board game, Cell and Dr Gero where the only ones in on it, the rest were just pawns: Androids 19, 18, 17 and 16. |

Well actually, Gero wasn't counting on a Cell from the future coming out of no where and he didn't count on turning on Cyborgs 17 and 18. His plan was to just take him and 19 and destroy the Z-Fighters, then wreak havoc across the world. But it all kind of got messed up.

Cell needed the androids to be "COMPLETE!"
Super Kanzentai Cell (didn't have the androids) yet had enough power to destroy an "Entire" Star System.

Cell is like a jigsaw puzzle, each part is a different piece. 17 and 18 were put to destroy Goku, but Gero had a backup plan, he wanted to destroy Goku and conquer the world. He probably knew that 17 and 18 were to uncontrollable. Even after Gero's death, Cell respected him, he still wanted to kill Goku. Cell yearns to be perfect, because he was made to be perfect. Even after he absorbed 17 and dominated all of the Z Senshi, he still wanted to fuse with 18. Gero did this because if something went wrong, there would be something to balance it out.

if i was Gero i would have put part of myself inside Cell; his brain or something instead of putting it in one of the weakest machines going.

Well, really, we have no idea how much energy Gero and 19 were capable of recieving. Plus, it could be that it's not possible for Gero to put his brain inside a biologically grown being...maybe it has something to do with the DNA.
