The multipliers don't have to be higher for the fighters to be stronger than their previous form
If you take SS = 50 x base form
and SS2 = 2 x SS
SS2 is still stronger than SS by a lot

My multiplier consists of:
25x - SSJ
50x - SSJ2
100x - SSJ3
Isn't MSSJ just maintaining the fatigue given by transforming?

Yes, but by doing that, much ki is reserved. That's the point of it.

But wouldn't using the spare Ki to multiply their powers make them fatigued anyway? I'm pretty sure the multiplier is the same throughout.

Why do people think "MSSj" exists? It's a FAN-MADE TERM. It isn't its own "state".

It is the Super Saiyan state. They just stayed in it, so they'd have the energy and stamina advantage for the Cell fight. The manga makes that clear over and over again, with statements by Goku and Vegeta.

"MSSj" = Super Saiyan.

Exactly what I said. Is NOT a state of its own. It's a term made up by fans.

In the manga, it is made clear that Gohan and Goku were simply in Super Saiyan state. They don't "transform into MSSj". All they did was stay in Super Saiyan all the time, so they wouldn't have to waste energy transforming into it come battle time. Otherwise, why would they bother staying transformed? They would stay in base, then do one of those fabled "no-energy" transformations to "MSSj".

Goku straight out said it, while running down the "ascended" forms: "all in all, the regular Super Saiyan is best". That's the form they used. They concentrated on just building their power levels up, using that form.

With all the talk of "multipliers" being different for Super Saiyan and "MSSj", and whatnot, it gives the impression that people think it's a different form than Super Saiyan, a transformation all its own.

Oh well sorry if I confused anybody with the multiplier talk.

When I think of SSj and MSSj (which is just a mastered Super Saiya-jin) I tend to think of Bankais from Bleach. The further your mastery goes the stronger it gets.
