Why exactly was Vegeta turned to stone after he blew himself up? I never understood this, the first time I saw the episode I thought somehow Dabura's spit that landed on the ground when he fought Buu somehow flew up and hit Vegeta, that was the only explanation I could come up with...
Also, why was his body high in the air? Did he blow up the ground underneath him completely and launch himself upward or what? |

Don't know about the second part of your question but another member (forgot your name) came up with the idea that Bejita released all the chi in his body turning his cells to stone or something like that.

That was my theory, lol. In more specific details it was explaining why people absorbed by Seru's tail would sort of disintegrate and "melt" when their ki was drained, but when Bejiita blew himself up, the end result was different. Ki is essentially the life force of any individual, and it powers all bodily functions, even those on a cellular level. When Seru would absorb the ki from an individual, the process was very slow, so the ki within the body was drained away slow enough to cause the cells to lyse (or die) due to the lack of ki present to keep the cell membranes intact. In Bejiita's case however, he threw all his ki out at once, which wouldn't allow time for the membranes to rupture. As such, the cells solidified (due to the elemental composition of them) and became almost rock-like.

^^That's what I always thought. I distinctly remember him crumbling in the manga. I think he just stopped existing after there was no more ki in his whole body to hold him together.

Vegeta's clothes must be magical as in DBGT he turned from an ozuruu eith no clothes to a ssj4 with clothes same with goku. So the magic of Vegeta's clothes must have had some tech clothes, so as if they could withstand the electicy and heat from his aura. Vegeta must have used all the fiberes in his clothes to help kil majin buu as well. Crap theory...my crapest yet

Vegeta's clothes are made out of a special material, but they can't withstand his Final Explosion.

About the Vegeta being airborn thing, Gohan as well became airborn when he launched the full power of his Kamehameha at Cell. I have no idea about the stone thing.

new theory: Vegeta final explosion was not only an explosion but an asbortion explosion, he somehow used an attack to spritually drain the ki out of everything including the ground the air, his clothes into himself then buliding it up then letting it out all at once as an attack. This would give Vegeta some browny points when Goku and Vegeta fusioned in Gogeta and used that Soul Punisher on Janemba this would help support it had something to do with Vegeta as well.
This would help explain the massive crateor in the ground, and his tone clothing |

The theory about his cells turning to stone, ec is interesting...but I see it to be more like dust, in that all of the cells in his body died, but becasue they are obviously so tightly packed, they hold his form for a few moments before falling apart and dispersing...I suppose you could say it's dust from stone, but that's needless the way I see it
