yeah i blame the noobs back in primary school who thought they knew everything about dbz, as they thought the androids were blob men, when role playing in the playground one of us was trunks, it was me and one of the ultra noobs were one of the two androids i used my sword (tree branch) to slice him and he said "hahahaha the sword just went straight through me" claiming to be in one peice...baka

they had some stupid magazine, they probably couldn't read it the two never let anyonelse read it

One that I do remember is that I thought Frieza was a girl, since he lacked the male body parts. However, now that I stop to think about it he also lacked the female body parts. I'm just glad this was back during my early teenage years.

Another one I thought of is I heard from a friend there was an episode where Bulma and Vegeta went at it in the shower. I had a dirty little mind back then. So after searching for that episode on the Internet and not finding it, I knew it was false.

if you watched DBZ in japanese you wouldn't even think for a second that Frieza was a girl, well Frieza hasn't an appaerant male genitalia but he hasn't boobs neither and with his voice in japanese, it's like a man's voice but his voice in english he sounds like a Bxxxc!!!

When I was a DBZ nooblet, I had a lot of misconceptions about the series when I only knew what I saw from images that my friend printed out and showed me. The few that I can remember are:

- I thought there were several Buus (because of this image).

- I thought SSJ levels were called 'series' (eg: super Saiyan series two, series three, etc). I forgot what lead me to believe this.

- Before I knew of the movies, I thought a some of the major villains were going to have entire sagas about them, namely Broly and Cooler.

That's all I can remember.

DBAF Killer

When I was a DB/Z noob, I thought DB/Z rip-off from Street Fighter because of the Kamehameha. Then I found out that Street Fighter was the one that rip-off from DB/Z's Kamehameha.

When I was a DBZ Noob there were a couple funny things that I thought, because I began watching it during the Ginyu Saga.

1. When I first saw yamcha I thought he was a Saiyan, and I believed he was Goku's brother.

2. Someone had lended me the battle between Mecha Freeza and Trunks on VHS in japanese with no subtitles.When I watched it, I thought King Cold was Freeza, and Freeza was King Cold. After I learned that Freeza was Freeza, I thought his Mecha Form was his Final Transformation.

3. I thought Krillin was Tien's son, mainly because someone told me that, and I didn't know anything back then.

4. The last thing I believed was that everyone had access to the Super Saiyan power-up for some odd reason.

I jumped into the series (anime) around the time the Ginyu force showed up, and I had no idea that DBZ was only part of a greater story, so I drew some bizarre conclusions. In my mind:

- Kami was Piccolo's father/granfather, based on their constant remarks to each other, and Kami still seems to me like he'd be waiting around for an opportunity to give the 'walk to school barefoot in the snow' speech, or something similar.

- Kami was in exile, not the GOD! It just seemed like a horrible situation, living on a floating platform removed from the world, with Mr. Popo creepy around, even at night.

- King Kai/Kaio-sama was supposed to be one of the Yakuza, because of his sunglasses and big, old american car. I also thought that that's why he was so fat; "He lives on that tiny orb of a planet and never walks anywhere!"

- The Ox-King and the big orge (his name has slipped my mind) at the entrance to the afterlife were the same person.

- Krillin wasn't human (I'm still not entirely convinced that he IS human).

- (later on) Garlic (Jr.) and Emperor Pilaf were somhow related (?)

you mean king yemma. I used to think Krillin and gohan were brother and anyone who wore saiyan armor and a scouter was a saiyan.

Well, not to be diferent, I tought SSJ3 Goku >> Ultimate Gohan
I also tought anyone on a Scouter was a Sayan and Freeza was like a scientific experiment!
So many things so many years ago I can't remember them all...
After I read the Mangas it all got much clearer.
