Hmm... Well 4 me I always liked Bandai a lot as well as Irwin and Jakks. I always loved Bandai because they looked more like collectable figures while Jakks looks more like the Anime, which is good too. I liked AB as well because they have figures that the other toy companies didnt. Wats ur favorite?

It has been ages since I’ve collected anything. Though, I remember I had a liking for Jakks, myself, just because of the motor ability of the figures themselves. I was particularly fond of Super Buu, Base, myself, since he was the only Buu capable of bending his knees / elbows, twisting his ankles, and twisting his neck. The neck caught me, myself, because it just seemed so realistic for a figure of him to do so.
Then, there were others which had poor quality, easily breakable, and poor in design. An example of which is Gohan Buu. I went through two of those, might I add. Others were stiff and barely flexible, like Kid Buu, but I still liked him. >_> Irwan produced some more stiff and junky ones, too, and I was never entirely fond of them myself. I had most of their original sets, such as the first Broly, Frieza, Special Beam Cannon Piccolo, etc. However, they were more like stiff models than anything; nothing for a little child to be playing with. Not to mention, many of the originals were characters who weren’t going to be dubbed for another five years, such as Broly, or my first Irwan Kid Buu. Ah well, if I still had any of those, unopened, I’d probably be bragging right now. Might I add, a Rocket launch is a tad extreme. >_> Bandai, Bandai, Bandai... I was never fond of them either. I preferred Irwan of them. Though, I did get a few unique figures from them, such as SSj4 Gogeta, and a few others. If some of the old sites were still around, I might have some pictures, but they all closed down, since anime / manga such as Dragonball/Z, Yu Yu, and Sailor Moon, etc, are no longer existent in the eyes of children anymore. Anyway, these figures were even more like models than Irwan, but held up tough. Durability-wise, I liked these the best. No image.... >_>

Right I see wat u mean, but yeah, Jakks is nice in some ways, like u said about the movable joints. I liked the way some of the Bandai and Irwin figures looked though... But some of them didnt really look like the characters. Irwin also were just reissues of figures pretty much... There early toy line were reissues of Bandai and AB figures, until later on.

Irwin had some good stuff, Jakks had some good stuff, even Bandai had some good stuff. What matters now is what's coming out next and who's going to take over the business.

For me Bandai > Irwin > Jakks. I don't think any company will ever be able to beat out the Super Battle Collection because those figures were just superb compared to the one's later Irwin put out, as well as Jakks. I still remember my first figure of DragonBall Z was Piccolo from Irwin's reissues of the Super Battle Collection back in 1999/2000. Great memories.
