Is it possible to look at the SSJ2 and SSJ3 as highly inhanced Super Saiya-jins instead of whole new SSJ levels?

Considering that Gokuu openly stated that Ssj2 and Ssj3 are distinctive forms rather than just enhanced versions of the initial Super Saiya-jin form (like what Ssj 2nd Grade, Ssj 3rd Grade, MSsj, and FpSsj are) when he demonstrated them to stall Babi-di and Buu, then no, they aren't just enhanced forms of the initial Ssj state.

Why can't Super Saiya-jin be the "true" transformation? It required "true" emotion and power to get there anyway.

SSJ2 and SSJ3 could be reaching out farther or enhancing within they're Super Saiya-jin transformation.

It may be possible to see ssj2 and ssj3 another way, but its still can be wrong. The only enhanced version of Super Sayian is the Super Saiyan 2nd Grade, 3rd and Full-Power Super Saiyan. Goku changes his appearance every single time he transforms ssj1, ssj2 and ssj3 these are classed as transformations. Sayian transformations enhances the skills of a Sayian, and changes their physical appearance, for example blonde hair, increased height, growth of hair. Definition of Transformation: the act of changing in form or shape or appearance. A Sayian changes his shape for an Ozurru, a Sayian changes his appearance when turning Super Sayian!!When Goku goes Kaioken that is an enhancement, same as Vegeta when the dark wizard Babidi turns Vegeta into Majin Vegeta, these are just enhancements, not tranfformations!!

On top of all that...why would it be called, in the Manga, a "transformation" if it's actually something else? If the author called it that, wasn't it meant to be that?
