I'm simply saying that such information was never given or inferred in movie 5, and I don't remember seeing it mentioned at any point (in any serious sense) in Shonen Jump for that matter.

Movie 5 is a paradox when you try to fit it into the story. Goku can't tap the Super Saiyan at will, and Gohan is exactly the same as he was on Namek, plus a tail. The movie came out before Freeza was shown to be revived or Cold introduced alongside him.
Simply put...movie 5 is what would have happened if Goku actually killed Freeza and somehow got back to Earth within a couple weeks.

I'm the type of person who dislikes the DBZ movies because of the horrible plot holes. In the first Cooler movie, if it was supposed to take place before Frieza and King Kold came to Earth, Goku shouldn't have been there to begin with. That's why I tend to believe that it should take place after Trunks kills Frieza and King Kold, that way it fits in better with the anime. (I should rewatch it to make sure) whether or not when it takes place, I'm not sure, but for it to fit, post mecha Frieza works better. The first Cooler movie, and the Wrath of the Dragon, are the only movies I usually put in with the anime, the rest have unrealistic plot holes that I don't even bother counting towards the storyline.

And a side note, in the Budokai Tenkaichi 2 game, it says in Salza's profile that he's the same race as Jeice from the Ginyu force.

The movie plot lines are horrible? They were never designed to fit in with the story in the first place. They are independent productions separate from the main storyline with no actual influence on it. They are fun "what-if" stories, and I like them a lot.
I find it funny you say Movie 13 fits but not 9. Those two movies are actually the only two that can fit into the Anime continuity. None others do, and were never meant to. Enjoy them for what they are.

What was 9 again? Was that the Bojack movie? Yes I agree that one fits well. I just haven't watched them in such a long time, I don't remember which ones have bad plot holes or not. And yes I agree that they weren't supposed to fit, but in my logic I always try to fit things together, that's just the way I am.

It does say that in the character illustrations part of the game, as well as the piece of information that he has a rivalry with Ginyu. Considering this is from a video game though and no legitimate source, neither "fact" can be taken at face value.

It may have come from the Daizenshuu, actually. I wouldn't know myself because I don't know Japanese and I don't own any of them, but the guys at Daizex have eluded to such a thing before. It wouldn't surprise, and then the "fact" would become...legitimate.

It is possible that it's in the Daizenshuu, but if it is then I must have overlooked it. I always thought that if any of Furiiza and Koora's minions would be of the same species, it'd be Sauzaa and Zarbon moreso than Sauzaa and Jiisu.
