I know. Thats why it ties in with the "lending power increase" that would probably multiply based off of this and Seru didn't have a Super Saiya-jin aura until after he absorbed humans, which leads me to believe his power level didn't change that much from fighting Pikkoro to fighting Seventeen but went up due to him transforming into a "Super Saiya-jin".

All i know is that he absorbed alot of humans. It was nasty though when he absorbed humans with his stinger. He just absorbed their skin and there was only their clothes

But I wonder how many humans exsist in dragonball earth.

If it was real earth population at near 7 billion people and if each of them had a powerlevel of 5 it would be 35 billion increase.

Dragonball Earth doesnt seem to have that many people, what is the biggest city in dragonball? Is it the city that capsule corp is located, is that north city ?

There are no canon Power Levels after Torankusu's reading of 5. Besides SSj4 Gogita would be alot stronger than that.

You would also have to assume that not everyone's powerlevel is 5.

There are better fighters above 5 most likely , and alot of old people, children , and women that are a little below 5.

But I wonder what the population of earth actually was when Akira wrote that chapter od dragonball, it could give a better idea of what he was thinking , perhaps.

5 is just an average number for an adult in their 30's-40's (the farmer may be a bit older than that but we can't be for certain). The chances of someone being in Ginger Town with a power level exceeding 5 by any major factor is unlikely, as is the idea that women would probably have a battle power below 5, though it's possible that the elderly and children would possibly produce a lower battle power.

I don't see why wondering what the earth's population was at the time of him writing that part of the saga would be of any use, as it was never mentioned that Seru had any desire to absorb the whole of the population.

I do have a question on the topic of Cell's absorption. Can he absorb anyone? Such as absorbing Goku or Vegeta. (Even if he had their genes already, the boost would be nice.)

He easily could, considering in his stage 1 form he managed to absorb part of Pikkoro's bio-extract, who was a part of his genetic make-up. Seru would be able to absorb them, but it'd be the inefficient method of jabbing them with his tail rather than engulfing them completely like he did with Juunanagou and Juuhachigou.
