Yeah...they're basically different variations of the Super Saiya-jin level, as opposed to different transformations of their own. It's "Mastered Super Saiya-jin"...all variations, thereof, it's...mastered. It's the perfected level, basically.

The best indicator of this is actually the aura around Goku and Gohan when they power-up. It's like a balanced combination of all previous Super Saiyan Aura's, and it is freakin' sweet. This applies just to the Manga, of course. Very few Ssj Aura's look different at all in the Anime.

That is true for the anime. There are basically 3 Super Saiya-jin auras in the anime. The yellow waves of energy used for most of the series, the golden flame aura that was last used against the androids, and the yellow outline used once on Bejita.
