He never states why. For that matter, neither does Trunks. How or why they both went SS is a mystery, though the altered-timeline Trunks could offer an explanation for original-timeline Trunks (being born with the ability to do so).

The Gohan in GT was pretty soft to me. Future Gohan was very brave and was just like Goku.

The only thing we know about their Ssj transformations is that they both reached it prior to the "Torankusu; the Lone Warrior" side story in the manga. How or when they reached the form is never stated or even hinted at.

Actually Mirai Trunks transformed because of the death of Mirai Gohan when Andriods 17 and 18 killed him. Remember it was that rainy scene where we first see Mirai Trunks' SSJ form. Mirai Gohan went ssj because of the emotional loss of his father or because of death of Piccolo and Krillin.

Well how do you know that it is because of Goku and piccolo dying how do you know that it wasnt Chi-Chi's death that made him transform or maybe a whole city or saomething?

non-canon. In the canon, we don't know when both of them got the ssj, and we know that, in the first scene, trunks was already a ssj. Then, we descovered that gohan was also ssj, but he didn't said when he got his ssj.

For PT Trunks it was exceedingly simple to do, just as Vegeta's reaction of him doing so concurs. He makes it look like child's play. Since FT Gohan was based off of a Gohan who only fought on Namek he would have had to have done a LOT of training to get above the 3 million mark and transform, but nothing is stated about FT Trunks. We even see him in the form from the getgo. Again, nothing is really known about their transformations. For all we know FT Trunks had just as easy a time going SS as PT Trunks but never 'mastered' it to the point of being comfortable.

I felt so sorry for Future Gohan, he was so brave and had the awesome do-or-die attitude. He was MUCH better than his Z-timeline self IMO, he's my second favorite canon Super Saiyan also, right next to Future Trunks.

One thing I hope he was rewarded was to keep his body in the afterlife and see Goku, that would be the best gift ever besides seeing the androids destroyed for Gohan IMO. And I truly think he got to keep his body, I'm sure Goku mananged to convince Yamma, at least I hope so.

I mean, I personally think Gohan would be able to keep his body anyway, without Goku's help. He was pure hearted, a true hero, he gave his life in trying to defend the earth. For 13 years he constantly fought, and fought, and fought with the Androids, he risked his life hundreds of times.

Also people need to shut the hell up about the special not being canon, it makes MORE sense that way -Removed- So just leave it at that, I don't give a SHIT if it's canon or not, it makes way more sense. Trunks transformed into a SSJ at the view of Gohan laying face down dead in the dirt.

No, Future Gohan wasn't a MSSJ and neither was Trunks. He was just a normal SSJ. I think he stated that he became SSJ for the first time after Goku's death.

Future Gohan wasn't anywhere near a FPSSJ, if he had been he'd destroyed the androids much like Trunks did on his return from the past.
