interesting godho. Tell me, there has to be another reason why Cell swallowed them instead of stabbing them (beside apperance). What d'ya think it is? Is it because they're androids not human so sucking their life wouldn't be useful? Maybe it is because of that they have an infinite power source, they never get tired and by eating them, Cell could maintain the power the source produced, instead of risking to destroy the mechanism. And Android 17 & 18 were built to destroy, thus giving them the perfect body. Think of it, let's take no. 17 as an example. He is kinda small, giving less resistance from the air when moving (aerodynamics), he hasn't much muscles, thus giving him the ability to move more easy. But still he has alot of power inside him. And there is the same thing with Android no. 18. When absorbing them Cell's body's form changes. As you see the perfect form is better to use for fighting. Cell's first form had the disadvantage of having a tail that someone could grab. And his body porpotions were not good for fighting, he had long but thin legs making the pressure from them to the ground light. Thus, his balance were not as good as it could be. In his second form he also had his tail, and his buffed body form was a disadvantage because of reducing the moving capabilities. And then his body shape, being kinda broad, were easy to hit with a punch. In form three, the perfect form, he "lost" his tail, and his body got shaped into something between, making him...well...perfect. This may not sound logical but to give these theories more "strenght" I bring up the fact of that the computer that programmed the making and thinking of Cell probably had calculated that this was the best way to get Cell perfect in both shape and power. But still this is only a theory. |

As shown when Ssj2 Gohan managed to damage Seru to the point that he regurgitated Juuhachigou, it seems that unlike humans or any other biological life form he used for energy, in order for Seru to maintain his transformed states, he must continually tap into their power (thus the need to keep them intact). I would theorize that Juunanagou and Juuhachigou were in some form of stasis cocoon similar to that of Buu's. As for Seru looking different had he absorbed Juuhachigou first, I doubt it. Most likely his cells were designed to trigger a transformation response whenever he absorbs one of the two jinzou-ningen, but which one he absorbed first being irrelevant.

^ The cocoon theory sounds right to me.
And about how Cell would look absorbing no.18 first I don't think either that it would matter. Still if it mattered, I think that no.18 & no.17 are so like eachother (and twins too) so that it wouldn't change Cell's appearance much at all (sure they are of different gender and such, but we don't see Cell grow a p***s when he absorbs no. 17, don't we?). |

There's no real other way to explain Seru's absorption of the Jinzou-ningens outside of him being able to keep them in some kind of miniaturized stasis in the same manner that Buu did. Where these stasis pods are in Seru though is a mystery, since although logically it would seem that they aren't in his upper torso (due to the fact that Seru didn't revert to his normal form after Gokuu fired the Kamehameha at him from point blank range), it was Gohan's kick to Seru's face that ultimately forced him to regurgitate Juuhachigou. Logically though I would place them in the area of his lower stomach, and it was just that Gohan was inflicting so much damage to him that Seru just couldn't keep them both in stasis.

If, this theory, is indeed correct, then why, when Gohan beat Cell around the bush after he had made him reguigitate android 18, did Cell not just up and about, and do the same thing with #17? It would allow Vegeta, Trunks, Gokou, or Gohan to beat him as normal super saiya-jins, and Piccolo would also easily be able to beat him. It doesn't seem to make much sense at all to me, even though the theory is interesting. Edit: To SSJ Master, the androids were just cyborgs created from a human base. All of their human celluar structure and traits remaind. Proof of this? #17 wanting to drive a car all the way to Gokou's house. |

My only other guess is that Gohan's blows inflicted enough damage to damage Juuhachigou's stasis pod (though undoubtedly Juunanagou's as well), but when Juuhachigou was removed from stasis, Seru's regression back into his Stage 2 form allowed him to reform the stasis.

Do you people pay any attention? With each absorption, Cell takes on a ton of the respective Androids body traits. Cell's 2nd Form Face is made to look like a cross of his first form and 17's face. And you can tell very easily, at least in the Manga. He gets 17's smile, his eyes, stuff like that. His build increases because he took in a Male Cyborg.
Later, with Eighteen, his build reduces and his face looks a lot more like Eighteens, as well as Seventeens at times too. Toriyama was brilliant when it came to integrating all those traits. In the Manga it's very easy to appreciate the excellence of Cell's evolution into his Complete State.
