Question about Shenlon

They say that the dragon isnt capable of granting wishes outside his power...well Piccolo killed Shenlon easily back when his PL was like below 300 and Kami wasnt able to beat Piccolo Jr at the next Budokai. Basically what I'm saying is Shenlon is a weakling! So when it comes to bringing back someone from the dead, how can the dragon fully revive a life force much greater than his?

There is no straight forward answer for that. However, Shenlong (Cantonese) or Shenron (Japanese), both translate into Dragon God. What Toei refers to as Dragon Ball Z is only following the plot of Dragon Ball where Kami was God. And this is still true, but Kami was thought to be the highest power. Therefore, when he created Shenlong, Shenlong was also a God of lower status, the Dragon God (which in Cantonese, my native language, it roughly translates to. I think it may mean the same in Japanese).

As a God, Shenlong was able to bring back people. It's not unnatural, through Dragon Ball Z, many characters have been stronger than Gods. Even the highest of gods, Grand Kai (Grand Supreme Kai in dub), could not pull out the Z Sword which The Rock pointed out to me. Kibito stated none of the Kais could pull out the Z Sword. However, SSj2 Gohan, weakest of the SSj2s, could.

That means a whole variety of characters were stronger than the highest of Gods, anyone who was stronger than SSj2 Gohan.

I guess as a creation of Kami, it does make sense for Shenlong to be weaker than him, and both weaker than Piccolo. As a God, he can probably grant wishes because of Namekian Magic of some sorts. Far out theory, but that's my two cents.

what son gohan said is all true and i am going to add one more thing which is that babadi was really weak! yet his magical powers can do wonders like take control of one of the strongest fighters in the univurse

also piccolo may have been stronger, but had completely different abilities like babidi. piccolo may even be able to learn that power
