Okay, I was wonderring what you guys thought on ki comparison, here's what I think.
Well a ki attack is the manifestation of your ki taking a physical form. and as such, once it manifests in this way, it is bound by the laws of nature. the only difference between ki attacks is the amount of ki you put into it plus density. a kamehameha and a final flash for example. both use ki however one could be more dense than the other. it also depends on the amount of force you put into the blast to send it to the destination. the variations of these are what makes the ki attack different from others. ki can also manifest in other ways. for example, the kienzan. it's goal is not to destroy, but to cut. the ki is molded into a disc shape and with the force behind it, it can cut through things much like a laser can. density I believe is what the kienzan depends on because if its dense enough, then it would essentially be like a real life cutting disc. and ki can also manifest into such things as a teleportation technique. this is why I believe gokou never taught gohan or anyone else the instantaneous movement, because the ability to manipulate ki into such a tech is beyond the skill level of gohan or anyone else, maybe not piccolo but most of the senshi. however the idea that kibit's teleport is an advanced version is wrong, or rather, cannot be proven since the only evidence given has shown differences moreso than similarities. gokou needs to locate someone to teleport to him. what does he do? he locates the KI of someone and teleports to that location. I believe that he doesn't really even know where he teleports, its more like he is telling his ki to attract to that other ki. however how can this be possible with no ki to travel to? how can gokou teleport to a place he has never seen before? he can't. kibit can since he can teleport from the upper world to the lower world. also, gokou needs to put his fingers on his head. what is he doing when this is happening? I believe he is focusing his ki to his brain since his brain is probably what is locating the other ki. by "feeling" his ki towards the other ki, he can teleport there. but kibit doesn't need such things. he just teleports. his teleport defies the laws of science, moreso than the instantaneous movement, and as said, that cannot happen if the ki is being manifestated. which is why I lean towards his teleport being a god tech, and not something a mortal could learn. the only reason buu learned it is because he is magic, something that also defies the laws of science. |

1) Finish this thought better.
2) Make it an editorial.

As ruthless as Kid Buu was, he was also smart, he just copied what he saw, or maybe he already knew how to do it... its possible since not all of his abilities are known and he did have a wizard as a creator. But yes the strength of an attack relies on the power (or Ki) that the user puts into it. Which is why if a large attack fails the person who fired it has lost heaps of energy and is weakened because of it. A summarized version would be nice tho lol.

A very good post!
However, one thing you are wrong about is Goku needing to put his fingers to his head to use Instant Transmission; he didn't do that with the Kamehameha combo on Cell. As to why Goku never taught anyone else the Instant Transmission, I mainly think that has to do with Akira wanting Goku to have that superior technique, rather than letting another Z warrior have that abilty because most of the Z warriors already have borrowed techniques, Kamehameha, Solar Flare, etc. and it would be more original for Goku to be the only one to use it. |
