Well in the dragonball anime (filler episodes) after Piccolo Jr.'s defeat Goku goes to the fire realem or something like that and he sees Gohan helping the care taker of the fire realem.

vegeta went to other world in buu saga cos he gave his life protecting earth (even if it wasnt his reason in doing it) if not he would have went to Hell.... G Gohan was strong for his time he was roshis best student.

lol maybe gohan went to hell. Who knows what him and Roshi got up to before Goku came along. Then again, otherworld is huge, the chances of him bumping into goku are slim.
