how do you tell difference between ssj and ssj2? - Page 2

What I want to know is the name of the episode when Goku first goes ssj2. I mean, is there an episode explaining it or what? Same question only with ssj3 as well.

Well here is my guess:

As we know Gohan was the first to go SSJ2, but, Trunks when he was USSJ wasn't there lightning around him? I guess basicly if you're stronger than SSJ you can say hello to lightning. The difference is SSJ2's hair is darker, power aura becomes larger and goldener and the hair get's pointier and more strands of hair are sticking up.

Well I don't know the episode for sure. In the episode called Vegeta's Pride, I think, Vegeta destroyed people in the arena, because he wanted Goku to fight with him. Goku got pissed over this so he transformed. I think this was SSJ2 already, if not he did it on the next episode which I think was called The Long Awaited Fight or something like that.

Goku says in that episode to Vegeta that due to their fighting, majin Buu might be awakened, so Goku says he has to make this quick. So he powers up and then you see that typical SSJ2 electricity/lightning.
