*sigh* Nothing, not even DBZ, is as simple as good and bad, black and white. There is much grey. All people considored "evil" did what they did because of what they believed in.
1. Raditz. Raditz was grown as a soldier. He only need fighting. He had a sense of pride in destroying planets. He knew what Frieza was making him do was evil, and for a time probably resented it. After a time, one must conform to their life as it is because they have no say in the matter. Raditz had no intention to kill Gohan. He only captured him, just so he could fight Goku. Raditz only knew fighting. It sicked him to think that Goku was living with thease Earthlings. That's the waty he was brought up. 2. Frieza Let's get one thing straight, Frieza was power hungry, there is no deniying that. I'm not in any way justifing what Frieza did. Frieza believed that he was better than anyone else. He grew up thinking that might makes right and he is better. With thease thoughts implanted in his mind, it's clear why Frieza becam a tyrant. 3. Cell Okay. From the time Cell is born, he has a freakin' computer telling him he is better, stronger, and more fit to live than any other lifeform on Earth. I think it's pretty obvious why he is evil. Also, his primary function was to attain perfection, he could not go against his programing. 4. Buu Fat Buu is obviously not evil. "Bibidy tell Buu to kill people, Babidi tell Buu to destroy." "Is to kill people a bad thing? ......... Then, no more." Evil Buu and Kid Buu are the ONLY ones that are pure evil. All the goodness was sucked from them. Same things go for all the heros. None are purely good. |

No, Goku is not pure good. He hit his head, so he lost his violent nature. He still loved to fight. No body can be pure good. They even mad a big deal that someone begins to become a bit more ruthless when they are super saiya-jins. Goku became ruthless when SSJ. Even in his base, he was a "good guy," but not pure good.

Vegeta went from Evil to good to Evil to good to confused then back to good.
Most of the Villains in DB and some in DBZ have become good...its rather strange.
