Its probable that Trunks when straight from defeating Freiza to the Android Saga, he was dressed the same and seemed a little panicked because he didn't appear near the location of South City.

Obviously, he spent a year in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber so that adds another year. He was 20 years old when Cell attacked him in his own time, and thats the end of his story...

Regarding Normal Trunks, he was stated to be 8 years old at the World Tournament. After Kid Buu's Defeat 10 years past, so he was 18 and then for GT 5 years passed, making him 23.

It's true, Future Trunks has been through more than Chibi trunks. And Chibi Trunks was too laid back and sandbagged after Majin Buu. I'm sure that if he didn't his strength would be equivalent to Future Trunks or probably higher. Remember, he DID go Super Saiyan at a young age and spent some time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

Mirai Trunks (Future)
Spent two days (2 years) in Hyperbolic Time Chamber
Can go USSJ2
and has witnessed more deaths, including his own....
By the way, Trunks was 8 at the Junior Division Tourney, quote from announcer "8 year old Trunks or 7 year old Goten"

10 years passed to end of DBZ. Trunks was 18. Pan was 4 and Bulla was 3.

10 years until GT. Trunks 28, Pan 14, Bulla 13

i dont think its 10 yrs i think its 5 yrs. becuz then

goten 27 instead of 22
trunks 28 instead of 23
Bulla 15 or 16 instead of 10 or 11
uub 20 instead of 15
pan 14 instead of 9

goten and trunks look like they are 22 and 23
uub looks like he is 15
pan looks like 9
but bulla is the exception here she does look older for her age.

goku would be 58 instead of 53

My Earlier post was wrong and so are most of you.

Pan was 5 at the end of DBZ and was 13 at the begining of GT, thats eight years. That is your answer to the space between Z and GT.

Thats a mistake in the American version, in the Manga and the Japanease version she is stated to be 5.

its been a while since my last post but since then i found all Trunks' ages and i hope they are right:

[PRESENT TRUNKS]

Baby

8 yrs old( Junior Martial Arts world Tournament DBZ)

18 yrs old (end of DBZ)

28 yrs old (DBGT)

[FUTURE TRUNKS]

13 yrs old (Trunks TV special and in "flashbacks")

16 yrs old (Trunks TV special)

17 yrs old (1st time we see Trunks in DBZ)

18 yrs old (DBZ movie 7 and in DBZ from the time he goes back to the past for the second time through the episode when he and Vegeta first go into the Room of Spirit and Time.)

19 yrs old ( this version comes out of the Room of spirit and time when he and Vegeta train for 1 year (1 day in our time) and he turns USS but isn't strong enough so goes back in the Room of spirt and time again)

20 yrs old ( DBZ movie 8 and when he comes out of the Room of spirt and time which he spends a another year in)

21 yrs old (DBZ movie 9)

23 yrs old (very last episode that Future Trunks is in. This is the last time we get a chance to see Future Trunks in DBZ. Three years after Trunks goes back to his time period and kills #17 and #18, he finally takes on Cell. Naturally, Cell is killed pretty quickly since he didn't attain his Perfect form, and Trunks is much more powerful at this point)
