Goku is more powerful than Vegeta, but not by much.

I think there is a pretty big gap. vegeta trains alot more than goku and is still weaker.

thats because vegeta pushes himself to the limit. goku only trains the amount that he needs to.

well let's see....

Goku did defeat Vegeta in regular combat in the saiyan saga. He then cheated and became Oozaru.... but he quickly got back to normal thanks to Yajirobe. Ok let's skip ahead to the Babadi Saga. He cheats to beat Goku with Majin Powers. Then in GT he cheats to be Super Saiyan 4. Hmmmmm he's a cheater, so i'd say Goku.

I think that Vegeta is weaker because he trains for self-absorbed reasons, namely beating Kakarot, where Goku trains to keep his family, friends, and planet safe. So says the world champion! (I liked being a Saiyan Elite better...)

Because Vegeta and Gokus Power levels are always about the same in every chart I've ever found.

i wree with u there but vegeta admits to goku being better then him in the buu saga, thats enough info to conclude that goku is the strongest

In some ways I would say they are the same:

This is because its not like Goku is steadly getting better than Vegeta. They are staying at the same gap between powers. Goku a little stronger and Vegeta a little weaker. But that gap does not get bigger it stays ABOUT the same...IF Goku was stronger than he would keep making that gap between there powers bigger..yes Goku is STRONGER but in the way im thinking hes not. Like something happened where Goku jumped ahead and Vegeta didn't....possibly Goku being in otherworld...not ageing and learning all sorts of cool stuff..

But Goku's gentleness gets in his way too often. Remember that he gave frieza another chance.

i told u hes only soft when his opponent is clearly out matched or begs for mercy, his softness never caused him his life or a battle so it doesnt really matter
