Akira has stated in the past that if he was to say that Gogeta did exist, then SSJ4 Gogeta would be stronger than SSJ Vegetto, but what is Vegetto had reached SSJ4?

If vegito was SS2 or 3 then he might surpass SS4 gogeta.

Vegito's SS3 form might be an = match up with SS4 gogeta. I can't say anything for sure since we never saw SS4 gogeta really try to fight. Being only able to use the fusion for about 5-10 minutes is a huge weakness though.

Actually, even if Vegetto went SSj3 he still wouldn't be a match for SSj4 Gogeta. It's because of how much power Goku and Vegeta had gained over the years between Vegetto's fight with Super Buuhan and GT.

I don't know about that. Why wouldn't he reach SS3? Just because Vegeta can't? Remember that as a fusion of Goku and Vegeta his powers and abilities are a lot more impressive than either of them. Basically if Goku can do it, Vegetto can figure it out because he's even better than Goku. Also, neither trunks, nor goten knew how to reach SS3 and gotenks figured it out so im sure Vegetto can.

Vegetto most likely can become SSj3. Afterall, Vegetto is a totally separate person from Goku and Vegeta. He has all their attacks, personalities, even their clothes. If Vegetto knows both Goku and Vegeta's techniques, then it seems logical that he'd also know Goku's SSj3 form. Why wouldn't he? He's the incorperation of both Goku and Vegeta as one being. I see no reason as to how/why he wouldn't be able to.

Basicaly, I think the only thing you need to reach SSJ3 is power, since Gotenks had a lot of power he reached it even if Goten and Trunks were far from training crazy like Goku, so no question about it, Vegeto can reach SSJ3 it was just not useful since he was far ahead of Buu in his SSJ form. Gogeta would destroy any, I mean any form of Buu period
