Default Explanation of DBZ's Ending

I was reading about Sun Wukong on wikipedia. When I was reading about his Nyoibo, I found something that was very interesting. Take a look at this and you'll understand why Toriyama-sensei ended DBZ the way he did.

As you can probably see, that article is up for deletion due to its questionable material, primarily the fact that there is no such character as Son Gohan in the Journey to the West story, but also the fact that there were no such things as dragon pearls in the story, nor is Sun Wukong's weapon known as the Nyoi-bo (it's known as the "ruyi-jingu-bang" or the "will-following golden banded staff), and there certainly is no "Lord of Lords" so to speak (would have been referred to as either Ryuu-jin or the Jade Emperor, depending on which one they were referring to). I wouldn't take the information from that particular wikipedia article seriously, as it's too full of errors as well as being too "convenient" to explain a reason behind Toriyama-sensei's decision to end the manga the way he did.

Up for deletion? I believe it has been deleted. I would've liked to read it anyways though, even if it was BS.

Well, by the time that this topic was first posted, the article in question had yet to be deleted, though it was listed as being up for deletion.

I copy that article just before it was deleted. Here it goes.
"Mai Xing Long is a character in the extension to Journey to the West. When introduced, he is a teenage Indian monk. He meets Sun Wukong during the last lag of his journey. The boy receives martial arts training from the monkey king and accompanies Wukong during the quest for the magic dagon pearls. When Sun Wukong grows older, he appoints Mai as defender of the mortal realm. After the destruction of the Nyoibo, it is remade by the lord of lords, and returned to Wukong. Sun, however proclaims he is too old and he passes the staff on to Mai. After saving the earth many times,Mai Xing Long grows sick, as he is not immortal like his master. Dying honorably, he is buried with the nyoibo, until the staff is stolen by Son Gohan many centuries later."

Okay, I get it. Mai Xing Long (Uub) meets Sun Wukong (Goku) "during the last lag of his journey" (the end of DBZ). "The boy receives martial arts training from the monkey king" (Uub receives training from Goku) and "he appoints Mai as defender of the mortal realm (Uub as the new protector of Earth). This was interesting, no wonder why AT ended DBZ that way. But I did think DBGT gave us a better ending.

DBAF Killer, that article was incorrect, as none of the events that take place in that article occurred in the actual Journey to the West story (and despite what the article says, there is no extended side-story or anything to the tale). Toriyama-sama's ending for Z has nothing to do with Journey to the West.
