"Gohan!!! You don't have an evil "chi"!!! You can bounce it back!!!"
This was the telepathic message Gokuu sent to Gohan just prior to Gohan deflecting the Genki Dama back at Bejiita during the Saiya-jin Saga. Since the only requirement Gokuu mentioned Gohan needed to have in order to bounce it back was to not have any evil ki within him, it's most likely that anyone who has a pure good ki would be able to do the same.

Since having no evil chi is the only requirement for bouncing the Spirit Bomb back why wasn't Son Goku able to do it against Chibi Buu?

What Furiiza and Chibi Buu did is not the same as Gohan being able to deflect it, since they were visibly not able to do so (when Gohan deflected it, it just bounced off his open palms towards Bejiita). What Furiiza and Chibi Buu were doing was exerting their strength against the push of the Genki Dama to try and prevent it from being forced on them.

People with purely good hearts can wield the genki dama as if it was their own because the genki dama isn't the energy of the one that formed it it is the combined good energy of many people/things. So you can throw it away or bounce it back. But if your heart is tainted with impurity then you cannot do that. You just have to hope that you are strong enough to deflect it like it was a regular blast-but in the Genki dama case, you have to deal with a whole lot of people's energy. Buu was strong enough to deflect the genki dama but not strong enough to survive it so when Goku imbued his own power into the blast after he was healed then Buu couldn't resist it and was destroyed.
So why didn't Vegeta try that?
He was already beaten up, he probably wouldn't have enough power to deflect, he wouldn't even be able to try and push it IMO. However, what happend was that he thought he dogded it for good, then he turned his back on it, as I remember. |

Kuririn threw the Genki Dama at Bejiita, yet made enough noise in doing show (he shouted "Hit him!") that Bejiita took notice of the ki blast and jumped to avoid it (turning in midair to be facing Kuririn). Since Bejiita's back is now turned towards Gohan, he did not see that Gohan bounced the Genki Dama back towards him until it was too late to react.

Can't argue with that, and in the "first budokai game" it shows the scene.
Krillin: Okay, I've got the Spirit Bomb! I hope this works! Vegeta: What the...? *jumps* Goku: Throw it back Gohan, you have to throw it back! Vegeta turns to stare at the blue orb as it hits him. That's how it went^! (This has nigh nothing to do with the Genki Dama or "Spirit Bomb" in question as it is non-canon. Flare this again and the resulting moderation willreach fruition. --LegendarySSj7)

So why was Son Goku having trouble with the Genki Dama against Chibi Boo? It seems regardless of being tired or not his good chi would have allowed him to bounce the Genki Dama back. Which Chibi Boo could have caught, pushed back then have rebounded again by Son Goku's good chi.
Dude are you (Removed. --LegendarySSj7)? this was all explained above.
It was explained what would happen after Chibi Boo caught it once. After throwing back could they continue to push it back and forth over and over again? |

Buu overpowered Goku so the only thing Goku could do was hold back the Genki dama with his good ki so there isn't really any "bouncing". If there was no resistance Goku could just do with the Genki dama whatever he wanted. But because Goku was drained of energy, he probably wouldn't last long. I mean Goku was at base and exhausted while Chibi Buu, who was powerful like a SSj3, was at full power. It is only natural that Buu was able to push back the Genki dama. But if you noticed, for the final push, Goku only needed SSj2, he was still weaker than Buu but he was able to overpower him with the Genki dama. Don't know if you understand what I'm trying to say.
