Yes, but just to add something: most people who have a general idea about anime/manga/comic/cartoon, would agree that the characters in Dragonball are seriously overpowered. I mean I don't recall having seen anywhere the feat of destroying a planet with a single attack accomplished, whereas in Dragonball they could do it even before Z.

"destroying the size of the solar system" i find ridiculous, not "destroying the mass of the solar system". Anyway for all I care they may be able to do it. It's just an anime after all.

1. I put Goku's strength in his base at 18,600 kg.
2. No one in DBZ can destroy galaxies. If we assume ki travels at light speed, it'd take 100 million light years to reach every part of the galaxy. Goku wouldn't live that long, for one thing. And he doesn't have enough ki to project it that far, anyway. Besides, I doubt he'd be able to destroy suns.

The Dragonball Z charcters can withstand planet shatering blasts this is from Dragonball Z volume 10/Dragonball volume 26 page 78 and 79
Piccolo: Are you going to take the planet with him? Vegeta!
Freeza then procedes to kick the blast away.
As for the others things on this topic I will dicuss that if I get the chance.

Not able to destroy suns!? Post-Regeneration Perfect Cell can destroy an entire solar system with his chi, and he is far from the strongest. Just imagine what SSj Vegeto would be able to do.
