And Goku sounding like some sort of Macho Surfer god. From what i understand, the UK dub for the Movies was done in Germany with of course a little ammount of pay from Toonami to just flog the Movies on TV for us to see. So of course we got German voice actors who obviously knew little English, their pay was poor so they did a quick job and pretty much....well we saw the results.

Well, I'll put my feelings on said dub as such.

There is many a VA that tries to mesh the original aspect put to a voice into his or her own and in tones as well in as the performance that goes to show us all that they don't make the attempt, they're really no place near apt for the most part and don't seem to capture the enduring qualities and elements lucidly captured through select FUNimation VAs (such as Eric Vale as Mirai Trunks and Chuck Huber as No. 17), to give some definition. The background music isn't a help and you could practically get the same effect the resulting sound effects give by bashing pans and pots for battle effect. Seriously. The sound effects are that horrid and why they didn't stick to furthering the notion of TOEI's original sound effects (as awesome as they are in that regard) will always be beyond my capacity.

Though after Season 1 and 2, for the most part, I prefer the FUNimaton dub nonwithstanding (but even the original Japanese version is by far its superior in my view, but I won't detail that view out in this thread since it's just a tad astoundingly deviating from the original topic of discussion that would sum up the parameters of this thread [and is more appropriate for just that] in view).
