Well, I'm not saying the Z Characters cannot go SOL, but those numbers you gave are incorrect, he said he went around the earth a few dozen times & took a nap, we don't acctually know the numbers.

A few dozen times.....
The earth has a circumference of 25,000....so traveling around the earth 7 times in one second is as fast or slightly faster than light.
If that statement from SS Gotenks is true...that would make him around 4 or 5 times faster than light, depending on what he meant by a few.

In Dragonball Z Light speed is reached there are several ways of looking at this
Power Level of 300 Example: Roshi's Kamehameha reached the moon about a second after it was launched light takes 1.26 seconds to reach the moon however he was bulked up and is estimated to be around 300.
Power Level of 3,348,000 Example: Goku Moved at speeds so fast the human eye could not see him at the 22nd Tenckaichi Budokai The A roctet ship when exiting earth's orbit moves 7 Miles Per Second but that can be seen by the human eye so lets assume 10 Miles Per Second means invisble speed even though I belive it is Signifagantly higher then 3,348,000 equals light speed
Power Level of at least 3,000,000 Example: Vegeta was able to sense the ginyu force coming there ship was a syain spaceship which seems to be faster then light, and Vegeta could not detect Freeza form 4's movments when he fought him se that would make him FTL
Power Level of several billion: Gotenks cricled the earth but you could see his chi trail chi is made of light (as proven during the yakon fight) so it would move at the speed of light for his trail to still there he would have to be moving at about 10c.

The article you cited from, while a valid translation of the Daizenshuu interview, is usually linked to a side article supposedly coming from a 'Super Otaku Magazine'; that portion of the article is a fanmade production. Again, the part you quote from is valid. I was saying that the interview that follows it is usually disputed for factuality.

[/quote]That speedis only when exiting the uper atmopshere during most of the flight it's about 3 Miles per second, but the point is that the human eye can still see it because the people monertering the space ship need to know what it is doing.

I just wanted to let every know I used the estimate in Daizenshuu for goku's power in the 22nd tenkaichi budokai, becuase there were no stated power levels in the first 16 volumes and pre dragonball Z power levels are imposible to begin with.

Yeah, it's all impossible, I mean to start out DB, Goku would have to have a PL of like 1 or 2 when he's clearly stronger than the average human (5).
