I think this fight depends on whether Janemba has his dimensional capabilities. When Goku fought Janemba, he did pretty well in hand to hand combat. However, when Janemba started to use his abilities, he wrecked Goku.

The Shin Buu we are talking about is base Super Buu right?

At that point Goku was dead, it's safe to assume the Ki drain would have made him met his demise. If he was still dead, there would be no massive Ki drain, the way he fared against Buu pretty much showed us he wasn't a weakling. He had a hard time taking the hits but that doesn't mean he couldn't have fought back. He was on the defensive side of the battle while Buu was constantly attacking, that's why Goku looked so hopeless. If he was willing to fight, it surely wouldn't have looked like that, he would have lost but considering he's a better fighter than Gohan he could have lasted longer.
