I'm not negating fact one bit, but I seem estranged and believe that matter was opinionated by Goku before he truly sensed his real power. The Zet-senshi were obviously on a much stronger plateau then the Zet-senshi were who fought Broly in Movie 8. The beating that occurred in OVA was detrimental to the Zet-senshi, who in turn, (in a mass effort) destroyed Hatchyack.

Gohan states in Movie 10 that Broly "Is just as much of a monster as before", which leans toward equality but majority rule that the Zenkai Broly received obviously was beneficial to his strength.

These two vague opinions by Goku and Gohan can be thrown in every different direction but it makes sense to me that in fact, Hatchyack was stronger than what Goku implies and Broly was equal or a bit stronger (for the sack of hypocrisy).

One thing that lingers in my noggin is how would Broly (Movie 10) be stronger then Hatchyack? For example, think of the way they were destroyed...

SSJ Gohan + SSJ Goten + SSJ Goku (Debatable) >>> Broly (Movie 10)
MSSJ Gohan + SSJ Vegta + SSJ Trunks + MSSJ Goku >>> Hatchyack

Facts and evidence come first before the analysis, at least in this case. So actually, I don't need to make the facts work with my analysis, I need my analysis to work with the facts, or at least what I believe to be factual. I don't see why you keep saying Broly can't hold back power in his attacks when that is certainly implied to be the case after seeing Goku collect all of the Zet Senshi's Super Saiyan energy to defeat him, not kill him mind you. And Gohan never says that SSj Broly [Movie 10] equals LSSj Broly [Movie 8], at least not in the Jap version.

@ Ames - Quite frankly, given Goku's statement, the Zet Senshi that combat the monster Hatchyack in the OVA are indeed the same Zet Senshi that fight Broly in Movie 8. Both movie features were made by the same people. While the OVA doesn't fit with the the promoted movie features in it's official collection, it does reveal the intentions of what the Movie-makers were aiming for in terms of the Zet Senshi's power in Movie 8. Don't forget that. And secondly, I would like to comment in response to your said perplexity of Broly's defeat in Movie 10. Broly was simply out-done, not by power though, just by technicality. Trunks threw a ki-ball in front of Broly's, cutting off the source of Broly's massive ki-ball's power, allowing a window of oppurtunity to be opened unto the Zet-Senshi remnant there. Broly's ki-blast started to weaken greatly, while at the same time the Super Saiyans were combining all their ki into a single point, bursting through Broly's weakened ki-orb. Broly put up his ki shield before it hit him and he was shot through the Sun eventually, shattering his ki-shield and obliterating his being.
