Well then I stand by what I said, he didn't get a zenkai and he didn't need one. If he got as big of a zenkai as is being suggested, I think Gohan would have said something a little different.

Well, he had to have receive some kind of increase in power. He was healed from the damage Goku gave him, and was out for about seven years. That's a worthy situation for one, but I don't think his SSJ form was about equal to his most powerful form in the first battle.
