I meant a bit stronger than half of Goku's power, like in the Cell Games.

When Vegeta said "no amount of training could have closed the gap between the two" that's exactly right. Goku was always one step ahead of him. He couldn't catch up to Goku, but that doesn't mean he didn't get closer.

Getting closer would be closing the gap.
Goku claimed he had the most intense training in Otherworld. Vegeta was busy doing the same old sh*t. Everything they say and do points to Goku maintaining that same power advantage (as well as other things, like base Goku facing Goten and Trunks at the Lookout, as opposed to Super Saiyan Vegeta facing Trunks in the gravitron). |

No. But base Goku got hit full-on by BOTH kids releasing their ki, and didn't even flinch (while Piccolo got tossed like the S.S. Minnow). Vegeta supposedly "struggled, and couldn't block Trunks' punch". Unless Goku was a lot more powerful than Vegeta, these two things wouldn't make any sense.

Yeah the difference is Vegeta underestimated Trunks' power (he was already surprised he was SSJ) and Goku saw them at the tournament already and knew what they were capable of. Unless you think SSJ Trunks was near SSJ Vegeta which would be awkward.

I'd love to say Fat Buu, but going by Toei logic, Broly would own everyone on this list, so meh. By manga logic, Fat Buu rapes them all at once, by Toei logic, Broly rapes them all at once.

![]() By "lasting awhile", I meant lasting more than a few seconds. Cell would last for more than a few seconds, because of his regeneration which would take a while for a dumb-ass like Fat Buu to figure out, and his techniques.

There's a couple things you're blatantly mistaken about here. One, the gap was 7 years, not 10. Two, Broly had to at least be 1.3x Gohan's SSj2 power because he took absolutely no damage from his attacks. Gohan's first attack landed in Broly's face, and it didn't even make him blink. He was nowhere near phased, and this cannot be denied. So however Gohan got out of Broly's hold, it was due either to skill or done for the plot.

How is simply flexing his arms and powering out of a hold "due to skill"? It was strength-based.
And the "it was done for plot" could be said about Broly "taking Gohan's punch", too. |

Gohan also broke out of Broly's bear hug as well; so maybe he's just good at releasing himself from things like that.
