You've clearly never read the Silver Age comics then.

You know, possibly a more even battle might be Babidi vs Supes. At least Babidi could hurt him. But then again, Supes moves at the speed of light, so Babidi gets no chance to react before he is defeated. Nor does Broly, for that matter.

I'm sure there probably is. In fact, I know there is, there have been many DC characters stronger than Superman, but still. Broly is not one of them.
