Sorry, but the Potaras are alot better than the fusion dance. I'd say it makes their base forms 1000x stronger.

If it really made them 1000x stronger(Which is utterly ridiculous) base Vegeto could have killed Shin Buu(Gohan absorbed) with a fart. He wouldn't need to go SSJ to humiliate him.

Exactly. As we saw in the ANIME, Base Vegito didn't need to go SSJ against Gohan Buu. He only did it for kicks so he could test out the rest of his power and have a funner time owning him.

Base Vegeto in the anime still wasn't 2x stronger than Shin Buu(Gohan absorbed)

Also, if the potaras made Goku and Vegeta 1000x stronger, base Vegeto would be like 10x stronger than Shin Buu. If he was that strong he wouldn't even get touched at base and he could kill Shin Buu with a smack. Base Vegeto didn't showed that kind of power in the anime. The potaras can't make the two warriors 1000x stronger, if it was the case, base Vegeto would have dominated Shin Buu more than SSJ Vegeto did.

Also, anime isn't canon, it can't be used in a canon discussion.

No he wouldn't be. Did you not see Vegito come out unharmed after being knocked in the cliff those couple times and not taking Buu seriously at all? He only got angrier and Vegito used him as a warm up.

The anime is canon. The movies are not.

The anime is canon as long as it doesn't contradict the manga and as long as fillers aren't concerned. Fillers aren't canon as they never occured in the original manga.
