There's nothing left to say really. Broli with the controller would die at the hands of Paragus. Broli without the controller would tear Paragus apart.

Gohan was not a SSj2 for several reasons. Gohan did not have the

the right hair style for Gohan. Gohan is also a SSj on the movie box
cover and not SSj2.

Was Goku physically there during the final energy battle with Brolly?
No,
this is basically Toei rehashing something from the Dragon Ball manga,
which is done quite often. This scene parallels Gohan’s kamehameha duel
with Cell, being there only for encouragement and voice of hope.

You're basing your third paragraph off of opinion, which doesn't hold up well against pure stated facts. Yes, facts. Quotes actually.

As for your first paragraph, it's definately debatable whether Gohan an Goku were MSSjs in Movie 8. However, it is shown in the Buu Arc that Saiyans can remain at base level and still be MSSjs. As to why they would be at base during the 10 day period...it's perfectly possible that they simply powered down for whatever reasons. But one thing's for certain, and that's that the movie productions are based upon the idea that nothing in the main story is actually going on. Because Gohan is a Super Saiyan, and never stepped outside the RoSaT before his training was complete, I'm asserting he's a Mastered Super Saiyan. Everything about the Mid-RoSaT is based upon the fact that Gohan seemed to be of a weaker status than Goku. But Gohan looked and performed the same in the OVA Movie. [which was practically created by the same people] In that particular movie Piccolo spoke of
Mr. Satan, who is someone they never saw until Goku an Gohan came outside the RoSaT. When you get right down to it, the Mid RoSaT theory is based very much on conjecture. Everyone knows Toei is a Goku fan, so it's just believable that they would make Goku out to be the main character. As I said before, it's not that Gohan was actually weaker than Goku, it's that Broly was so much stronger than them, making the Zet Senshi seem identical in power. Plus, Piccolo was also on the same plain of power as the Zet Senshi, which definately indicates that he had gone into the RoSaT, a place he never ventured into until Goku and Gohan came out of the chamber themselves.

As for the actual topic:
Broly was born with a powerlevel of 10,000, but by the time he becomes an adult, he should at least have increased in strength 5 fold, which would make him 50,000 by the age of 18, and he's 30 years old in Movie 8, so he's most likely even stronger. Paragas was nowhere near King Vegeta's power even when he was in his prime. There's pretty much no way he could beat an uncontrolled Broly [base].

Actually it's directly from the Toei Faq. And isn't that what were suppose to go by?
