This is rediculous. If Paragus was nearly killed by King Vegeta, who was probably around 9,000 to 13,000 in power, what makes you think he's stronger than Broly? Also, if Broly is only around 10,000 or weaker in base, there's no way, NO WAY he could ever go Super Saiyan. Paragus only said he was stronger than Broly as a bluff. He wasn't telling the truth. Even with the damn "zenkai," there's no way he could defeat base Broly in a straight fight. Also, the mind-control device doesn't work instantly. It takes a while to kick in. That short little '"while" is definitely enough time for Broly to kill Paragus. Paragus, in terms of raw power, is a bitch to Broly. Broly kicks his ass.

No offense but your ridiculous. For one I changed my view a page ago; though I still know Broly would still loose. For point number two: this verse has nothing to do with power.
