But that would only happen if he KNEW about Gohan's potential. I mean, look at Vegeta's personality prior to coming to earth. All evil, arrogant and ruthless. He always mocks and underestimates his opponents. It's his personality, he is always like that. He wouldn't suddenly think that: "this kid might be stronger than I think so I'll play safe with him and try not to anger him". I mean, that's unbelievable, and totally out of his personality.

There is a big difference between playing it safe and taking advantage of one's good qualities, your saying onething about it and I'm saying something else. And BV it was an example.

Look I'm not saying vegeta would have a guantee'd victory, I'm saying he would win if he pulled out all the stops and ultilized all of his playing dirty skills, even then it would come down to the wire. Look we all know if gohan got angry he would kill vegeta where he stood I'm not denying that.

Yeah, ok then. We all know about Veggie's tricks. However, what I'm trying to say is that Vegeta isn't THAT calculative. He doesn't care much, anyway. I mean, he has a scouter, right? He'd sense Gohan's extremely low power level. Then he'd freely attack him, only to end up angering him and being beaten.

I don't think he has such a great fighting skill.
Remember Son Gohan trained with Piccolo one of the smartest characters ever...Piccolo taught Son Gohan mostly everything he knew. I don't see how amazingly high potential that could sky rocket at any moment, with Piccolo's teachings could compare to an ill tempered brute of a Saiyan who is no more than a child.

Well all I'm trying to say is, if vegeta pulled out all the stops and used every trick he knew he would have a chance of winning thats all. And besides if he made gohan angry, if he could just wheather the storm until that burt of power is disapated. Because if I remember correctly gohan at that age when he would get angry when that burst was over he was tired.

Yeah, but the burst would be over with Vegeta laying dead on the floor if Gohan was from Namek Saga (trained by Piccolo)

Thats always a possibility, and one I wont rule out either.

I tell ya though it would be kool to see a computer simulation of this fight, with the computer using the full charistics of both characters.

Yea it would be, but I would love to see a game that was realistic to the manga, now that would be awsome.

That and let the Manga be the script too, but make it like a learing game, oh and online play too. Also you can play What-If's too.

I'd give it to Bejita. Isn't he suppose to be stronger than his father at this point? Besides I don't see Gohan getting angry at insults directed towards himself.

Thats what I mean, my meaning is the only ways gohan would get angrey are...

1. He thinks about all the people who'll die if he does. (this is one that I don't think will happen)

2. He is toyed with enough that he gets angry. (but I believe he would be dead before that happens)

3. He witnesses someone he really cares about die before he eyes. (this is possible but not likely)

And even then Vegeta could still win, because when gohan gets that angry he'll be more prone to make mistakes, so vegeta could find a place to hide until gohan falls out of that burst.

Depends what part of "Namek Saga". If it's after Gohan sees Guru, Gohan would whip Vegeta's ass no problem.

Before that point, Gohan would stand no chance. Vegeta didn't just "surpass" a Saibaman's power level; he showed the ability to utterly destroy several of them at the same time with nothing but releasing his energy. He didn't even have to fight. He's several times as powerful as Gohan's "around 1,500" on Namek.

But again, if vegeta could just weather the storm until that burst of anger is over, or just trick gohan then vegeta owns it...But then again I'm not saying gohan would fall for all of vegeta's tricks either, so gohan could also win too.
