Ultimate Gohan vs. Janemba.

Well who d'you think'd win? Gogeta did beat Janemba, but he wrecked him so hard it's possible someone weaker could beat Janemba with a struggle.

What d'you guys think?

Shin Janenba?

No let me explain my self. Everybody knows according to the manga Saikyo no Gohan>>>Super Saiya-jin 3 Gotenkusu>>>Super Saiya-jin 3 Gokuu but in the Toei Movies/Anime Super Saiya-jin 3 Gokuu>>>Saikyo no Gohan. So Saikyo no Gohan (Anime) would lose to Shin Janenba. If your talking about Saikyo no Gohan (Manga) vs. Shin Janenba its harder to debate since he was stated to be able to destroy the universe which is something no Z Character from the Manga could do.

Ultimate Gohan. Janemba made a vehement, damaging assault on SS3 Goku at his caprice, and smiling his way through one of Goku's chi blasts proved that he was the stronger of the two, but unless you're speaking of the anime (where TOEI did what they want with everyone's power and their roofs), I still feel the unaltered Majin Boo II was much stronger than SS Gogeta, if that answers anything. And although Janemba was pretty messed up by Gogeta (with such a clear attitude that conveys "slow man hitting still man with bat" in explicit undertones, that the series is more than just a mystical adventure) At least Goku made the valid attempt against Janemba, even if he eventually capitulated and reverted to fusion.

I feel Ultimate Gohan takes this.

Really, you think Shin Buu is stronger than SSJ Gogeta? Vegeto was thrashing the highest form of Buu who was at the very least 2,5x stronger than Shin Buu, I don't think Gogeta is far from Vegeto, they said the potara fusion works better and is superior, nothing was stated about it being more powerful than the dance. It wouldn't make sense for Gogeta to be much weaker than Vegeto who is unbelievably stronger than Shin Buu to be much weaker than Shin Buu. They are a fusion from the same beings after all, I really don't see him being weaker than Shin Buu(Chou Gohan absorbed)

Since Janemba never appeard in the manga we can't place his power anyhwere. Since the Toei Goku faired with Shin Buu(Gotenks absorbed) than Gohan did, Janemba might be as strong or even stronger than him. Canon wise, Gohan takes it, anime wise, Janemba takes it without breaking a sweat.

It isn't directly stated, but I strongly feel that it's hinted at - the Potara method's superiority, that is, on page 215 of Volume 41 / 25... Rou Kaioshin's statement: "But it'll work even better! Through generations of Lords of the Lords this has been treasured!". It's just my interpretation. Vegetto was so strong that he only went SSj solely for the purpose of stupefying and mortifying Boo, and managed to do away with his "stolen" Super Kamikaze Ghost attack without a margin of effort on any account - with just some simple footwork. He fought on both a psychological and physical plane (I suppose a duly-appreciated blend of personalities, and less the inherent personalities of Goku and Vegeta).

And again, at least Goku made the valid attempt at fighting Janemba. His reactions to Boo were far more panicky... panicky to no end. As for the anime... well, if the movie is in relation to the anime, then I suppose it's a valid point, but otherwise, I still feel that Majin Boo II (or said "Shin Buu") is much stronger than SSj Gogeta. That may just be me, though.

Well, since we're in the GT movie section, can I use SSJ4 Gogeta as an explanation?

Goku fought Janemba because, basically, he couldn't escape and he was already fighting the first one. The second one just took him head on and Goku didn't even the time to know what was happening. At least wih Shin Buu there was a way to hold him back and he was not as suprising as Janemba. If Goku knew Janemba's full power from the beginning I'm pretty sure he would have the same reaction as he had with Shin Buu since Janemba completely dominated him. He even hid when there was no more hope and they played a cat-mouse game. Ultimately, he suggested Vegeta to fuse because there was really no hope, Janemba was a new opponent he knew nothing about, with Shin Buu he knew at least what that vilain was capable of so there was no point to fight him and lose. I'm pretty sure if, someone as powerful as Janemba was there instead of Shin Buu and Goku knew his full power, than he would have suggested fusion right away.

Ultimate Gohan would definately win, no doubt. I don't believe in putting movie logic ahead of the manga. That's why we refer to the movies as non-canon, and therefore untrue.

It's a non-canon match up, yes, but it's best to guage one's power by the manga and not by the movies. I refer to the movies when there is simply no other alternative...that's when there's no other explanation to go off on.

Nobody's talking about the fact that Janenba (Movie) is strong enough to destroy the Universe while Gohan (Manga), at best, could destroy a Galaxy.

You can make a PL list and look at the difference between Gohan and Seru then compare that to the size of the Solar System and a Galaxy.
