broly shouldn't have been able to go supersaiyan because I think I remember goku or vegeta saying that you must have a pure heart to go SSJ. brolys def not pure hearted. what do you think?

I think that kinda went out the window when EVERYBODY became Super Saiyan. Besides, Vegeta's full of horse shit anyway.

Madness is right. Vegeta even addresses that in the Manga right after he transforms in front of 19 and Krillin says he thought you had to have a "Pure" heart:

Vegeta: My heart IS pure....pure Evil. I desired nothing more than to become stronger (Don't know the rest of the quote) but I'm sure of the Pure evil part.

Well here's the thing jericho vegeta wasn't pure of heart himself when he himself went Super Saiyan. He went super saiyan so he could say he outdid Goku.

That "pure heart" shit was exclusively for the Super Saiyan legend that turned out to be Goku, the one that would be the first Super Saiyan since the last one a thousand years ago. Only Goku needed to be pure heart, this started off a SSj era, none of the others had to be.

Goten?
Gohan?
Vegeta?

Vegeta only said he was pure because his ambition was to be better than Goku in everything Goku is, so Vegeta convinced himself that he needed the same requirements as Goku to beat him. That's also why he stopped wearing armour after the Cell Games.

Oh yeah, it's pretty clear Vegeta wasn't pure evil. Shown by the fact that he felt compassion towards Bulma and they had a child together. If he was pure evil, he would have killed Bulma after doing the business, or killed the child. Basically.

And didnt vegeta save goku and gohan at different points in the series too? Like he told gohan to look out for frieza's attack and let's not forget he saved goku from andriod 19.
