The only movie this matter is debated on, Movie 8. It says so right on the top of the poll box.

Oh! I am sorry. If Goku and Gohan are post Rosat. Gohan would be able to became SSJ2 but he didn't. So, I think is post rosat for Vegeta and Trunks but Middle for Gohan and Goku.

Mid-RoSaT personally.

I know there's the whole Vegeta's strength versus Goku's strength, but it's possibly that Goku surpassed Vegeta's strength halfway through training. Possible, not fact.

Mid-RoSoT. If they were Post-RoSoT then Goku and Gohan would have been in their Natural Super Saiyan state all the time, they were not.

I think Mid-Rosat. After recently re-watching movie 8 I noticed Gohan was still shorter than Krillin.

And you don't notice Gohan's stature in the RoSaT during his mid-way point? The manga shows his size to be quite bit smaller than the Gohan from Movie 8. If you've seen these panels, then you should know that Gohan from Movie 8 looks much more matured than Mid-RoSaT Gohan. After comparing Gohan's overall body size in Movie 8 to his body size while Mid-RoSaT, I thought Gohan looked older and more mature. Gohan had to be MSSj in Movie 8. The same people that made the OVA made this movie, and what they said in regards to Broly's power and Mr. Satan in that feature suggests that Gohan and Goku were intended as MSSj in Movie 8.

I have seen them, but compare Krillin and Gohan (Post Rosat), followed by Krillin and Gohan in movie 8 and you do see a difference.

EDIT: Actually let me take that back, Gohan's a little shorter than Krillin Post Rosat too.
