Oh, that's a lot. Personally I don't think Vegeto is that strong(Or Gogeta that weak) but there is absolutely no way to tell wether it's true or not. Then you GT base Gogeta should be way above Shin Buu(Gohan absorbed) but still a good margain weaker than SSJ4 Goku, SSJ Gogeta(GT) on the other hand should be quite more powerful than SSJ4 Goku though.

Movie 12 - Unlike many, I don't feel Gogeta was anyplace near Vegetto. Yes, Gogeta gave off such a lucid expression when Janemba's full force punch did nothing to him that it was as though it was "a man with pinata hitting a slow, moving truck". But this doesn't mean the amount of discrepancy has to be anything more than 4x. At least Goku made the valid attempt a fighting Janemba, something he wouldn't even do when pitted against the unaltered Shin Boo. Even if Janemba smiled through Goku's blast output and knocked him out with a single assault (having hammed things up, and having fallen out of an expression of pain), at least Goku tried to combat him.

That verbose out of the way, I'd put Gogeta's base level (Movie 12) about on equal footing with perhaps the Fat Majin Boo (not his unknown roof, but the extent of his power that we saw).

GT - No comment, as it's one giant plothole unto itself to lapse into.

That doesn't mean anything. Goku didn't have any choice but to fight Janemba by himself. He was the only one there, and he wasn't sent specifically to Fuse with someone, the way he was when he appeared for the Super Buu fight.

Plus he initially started the fight against the weaker Janemba. When the stronger one emerged, he really had no choice but to fight.

Not to go off-topic, but I personally do not see how Janemba was even remotely close to the level of Shin Buu. I just rewatched the fight, and the only part that really shows Janemba being superior to SSj3 Goku is when he takes the Chi blast to the chest and emerges smiling. Goku took 2 blasts, and was still able to dodge most of the Dimension Sword attacks, and Goku also was slightly superior to Janemba in melee combat in my opinon as well.

Not to digress, but going by that, even Base Gogeta would have been able to thrash him with ease. I'm not quite sure where I would put Base Gogeta in the hierarchy of characters, but I would personally put him about as strong as SSJ Gotenks, due to my lack of belief in the "Rivalry bonus".

I for one believe Base Gogeta could have handled Janemba fine too.

Ssj Gogeta was barely even trying against the demon, he was way overpowered. Base Gogeta would probably be around Janemba's actual league IMO. Being stronger than Ssj Gotenks Post-RoSoT, i'm fairly sure that Base Gogeta should be able to handle Janemba.

Really, Gogeta should have just been base as soon as he fused, he shouldn't have even bothered to transform into a Super Saiyan. But whatever Toei.

Janemba isn't that weak people may say: "Oh he used a sword to defeat Goku" well Trunks used a sword to beat Freiza and King cold figured he could beat him without the sword and look what happened. Plus after Janemba bests SSJ3 Goku with both of them using Instant Transmission (Or Janemba "Cube fading") Janemba has a big smile on his face. Besides the fact that Super Buu was hurt by a headbutt from SSJ Gotenks, so why is it that people constantly say Janemba is so weak? I'll agree he's weaker than Super Buu but not to the point of complete and utter pwnage.

DBZ= I place Base Gogeta in dbz the same to SSJ Gotenks.

DBGT= I place him in GT close or stronger than Gotenks Buu.

I think, if Vegetto(base) from when he appears in Z and Gogeta(base) if Goku and Vegeta fused into him instead, would be exactly the same. I don't see how it could be any other way. of course, if the Janemba movie happened AFTER the Buu saga, then of course Gogeta is stronger.
