Actually Akira drew the original conecept art for SSJ4. Even though he did almost nothing he still did a little concept.

In his concept art the SSJ4 state still ahd fur...

Akira did'nt have anything to do with SSJ4, he did his own version of the SSJ4 for the Japanese Dragon Box and that was it.

And I always thought that Super Saiyan 4 was a whole new entity because Goku refers to it as "This Body" so it's almost like as you say he's mastered his Super Saiyan powers and his primal state by combining them into one new unique body which is the SSJ4 and then it is implied by Bulma that Vegeta could ascend using the new body, meaning Goku could if the show would have gone on if the ratings were better, so then we could have seen a Golden version of Goku etc. They could have done so much more for that transformation, like having it as Goku's new base form or something like that.

And making it AF all over? No thanks... Though I have to admit, there is an inherent interest factor in "mastering Oozaru" with the result looking like SSJ4, and being able to progress through the base-SSJ states as this newer Primal Saiyan, without too much ridiculousness.

Thats just Toei's SSJ4 using his drawing style. It's not a completeley different version of the transformation.

what? Dude Akira drew his own version look it up...in that version it had fur...not that I care this discussion is on What SSJ4 really is? Not Why does SSJ4 have fur?

It's not his own version. It's the same design as the Toei one, just that he drew it. It's like if I drew SFX Goku, just like Akira did, using Toei, and called it my own version. He did it in his style, not his version.

It's still Toei's design, so it's not how Akira would have intended for it to look.

Whatever you want...I'm sure if he didn't want to draw it then he wouldn't have drawn it. Therefore, he must have some acceptance in the design...I mean he is the creator isn't he? If he truely disliked it he would have put an end to the series. In that case it is his version.

Never said he didn't like it. But it remains that it's not his version, because it's not his vision. I'm willing to bet that if he'd been asked to conceptualise and draw a SSJ4 before GT was made, that Goku wouldn't have come out looking exactly the same. He'd probably still be blonde or something...

But yeah, of course he accepts the design. Doesn't make it his though.
