Is it just me, or did the Saiyans and Piccolo seem stronger against Hatchyak than they did against Broly? I mean, in one hit from Broly they were down and almost out, but against Hatchyak they seemed more durable.

Example: In one big hit from Broly, Vegeta was out for the movie. Against Hatchyak, he took Hatchyak's special attack and went toe-to-toe with him for a minute or so.

And I don't know if this matters or not, but against Broly, Goku's entire shirt was blown off, but against Hatchyak it was still mostly on. It's just bugging me. It seems like different times since Trunks has shorter hair, so could it be after the Cell Games or something?

The "OVA" is after Movie 8 and Cell Games though before Trunks return to his timeline. Goku stated that Hatchyakk is as or stronger than Broly.

Though it could be very possible that all Zet Senshi (except Piccolo) are stronger in this movie than when they battled Broly seeing they did a better fight with Hatchyakk than with Broly and both are close in power. One more point for the mid-rosat theory I must say.

Aside from them struggling with Freeza & the others, I didn't see any difference with them in power. They seemed weaker to me.

Vegeta and Trunks were (Post second Rosat)
Piccolo (Post Rosat)
